In accordance with the Federal Regulations on Health, Safety and the Environment in the Workplace (RFSHMAT), employers are bound to adopt the pertinent health and safety measures, in accord with the nature of the jobs and industrial processes that are carried out in the workplace, pursuant to the provisions of these Regulations and the applicable Standards, in order to prevent, on the one hand, accidents in the use of machinery, equipment, instruments and materials; and, on the other, diseases through exposure to chemical, physical, biological, ergonomic and psychosocial agents, as well as to have the proper installations for the work to be executed.
