Environmental Emergency Response

In CAM we know that the immediate response after a mishap where compounds or waste spill occurred is essential to prevent further damage to the natural environment. For this reason we have created a division specialized infrastructure and human resources, able to attend such events in a fast and economically efficient way.

The services that CAM offers, focuses on environmental management of the material or toxic residue that came out when waste got mixed with the natural elements close to the event (soil, sediment and vegetation mainly). Our attention to the events, lists in the following way:

a) Visit of our technical manager to the site where the spill occurred (within 72 hours). Together our technical manager and the client will identify the best strategy to address the damage to coordinate the necessary infrastructure and human resources. There will be an initial estimate of the cost which would have the implementation of the strategy.

b) Coordination, communication and obtaining the necessary authorizations to ensure that the CAM crews and their equipment can meet the emergency.

c) Mobilization of the brigades and the working team that will extract impregnated material and/or toxic waste soil, sediment and vegetation

d) Arrival to the site and implementation of the strategy.

e) Loading and transport of the toxic material collected for further treatment.

f) Receipt of material infused with the toxic compound in authorized facilities for his co -processing or final disposal (previously identified by the type of compound to handle).

g) Implementation of a sampling remained at the end of the activities of collection, to ensure that the site is free of pollutants.

h) Preparation of a final report to highlight the activities carried out and that the site is free of pollution spilled on the natural environment.

The equipment and personnel of CAM meets all the requirements of the federal authorities for the handling and transport of hazardous waste, including:

1.- Permission 0932CAM950911PY0/1 by the Secretariat of Communications and Transportation for the provision of the service of Auto transport load Federal materials and hazardous waste.

2.- Authorization 09-I-33-10 of SEMARNAT for Collection and Transport of Hazardous Waste.

3.- Authorization 9-3-PS-V-10-2006 for the Treatment of Hazardous Waste.

4.- Agreements with companies authorized for the final disposal and/or co - processing of hazardous waste.

5.- Accreditation of the Mexican Accreditation Entity (EMA in Spanish) for soil and hazardous waste sampling.
